The Role:
Project Engineer - Commissioning and Start up

* Lead, organise and control technical work related to follow-on engineering, commissioning and start-up phase a major Oil&Gas Project in a manner that ensures project objectives and goals are met, and work completed according to project schedule.
* Work with Engineering and Commissioning Manager / Delivery Manager, Execution Contractor and partners to develop leak testing, commissioning and start-up plan to ensure effective execution of each phase that shall result in timely field Start-Up.
* Responsible for input into follow on engineenring, construction, completions and commissioning plan.
* Responsible for preparing and reviewing follow on engineering, leak testing, commissioning and start-up procedures and documentation
* Responsible for providing technical guidance and management of engineering Contractor's resources required to deliver according to Functional Specification, Design Basis, Scope of Work, Regulatory requirments etc.
* Ensure that Contractor's technical team are structured and staffed with qualified resources and that the team has capacity to execute scope of work as per the onshore and offshore execution plan.
* Selection and evaluation of suitable technical solutions, indentifying integration/optimisation opportunities.
* Follow up contractors' evaluation of technology and provide necessary interface with Operations during design stages.
* Report technical deviations and present proposals and alternative solutions when required.
* Attend inter-discipline technical meetings and technical audits as requested by Management.
* Process and follow up technical queries from Contractors, Partners and Operations.
* Actively engage with and support other disciplines to ensure inter-discipline design coherence and ensure proper technical interface management is maintained throughout the project cycle.
* Participate in all project technical and risk management meetings/processes.
* Have a thorough understanding of the UKCS Regulatory, Verification and Functional Safety Assessment requirments UK Management of Change (MOC) Process.
* Act as technical focal point for liasing Technical Authorities and Operations team within the UK Business Unit.
* Support Engineering and Commissioning Manager in demonstrating assurance requirements related to major projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
7 - 10 years discipline engineering experience including experience of topsides modifications projects and operations.
Ability to demonstrate Project experience (including Commissioning and Start-Up) with UKCS regulatory requirements.

Chartered Engineer, (MSc) / Engineer (BSc) in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
