The Role:
Purpose:
The Geological Operations Technical Assistant supports the Geological Operation group and wider subsurface group in their
activities by undertaking data searches, document preparation and supporting SAP and license management activities.

Accountabilities and End Results:
Work closely with other members of the geological operations and abandonment teams to produce accurate geological 1-page
summaries. Permit well abandonment with OGA using the WONs system. Actively seek opportunities to perform work for members and provide guidance on systems and data.

Primary Functions & Dimensions:

Provide technical support for geological operations and petrophysics staff. Duties include, but not limited to:

* Preparation of well abandonment geological summaries and OGPs for any wells requested.
* Daily exploration reporting to Houston.
* Supervising Petrolink, InterAct, Insite and XAIT and maintaining user access lists.
* Receiving and QC-ing well data and liasing with data services.
* Expert user of GEO.
* Manage weekly duty communications.
* Data loading and provision
* Responsibility for preparation and processing of requisitions and directing and coding SAP invoices and POs to correct people
* Assist Subsurface leadership in management of licences

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Critical Skills:

1. Core Technical Experience
* Oil & gas experience
* Demonstrable skills in using some or all of the following:
GEO, ODM, Petrel, Landmark and ArcGis
* Good computing skills and ability to quickly learn new
subsurface tools

2. Qualifications
* A BSc level geoscience degree

3. Personal Characteristics
* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong organisational skills

4. Other Requirements
* Good understanding of corporate systems
* Good working knowledge of SA
