The Company: A highly reputable Engineering solutions company with over 30 years expertise and a successful track record of delivering medium to large projects in the Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas and Water industries.

The Role: An opportunity exists for a diligent and driven Control System Engineer to assist with the delivery of innovative solutions to clients both nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Control Systems Manager you will be directly responsible for control system design, analysis, programming, troubleshooting and commissioning to the highest of standards. You will be vital to improve system effectiveness, develop innovative solutions and provide quality services to customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, program, commission and provide customer support with a variety of control systems
  • Foresee and solve system problems and design solutions to minimise downtime in production plants
  • Design and implement strategies for process control systems to ensure maximum productivity
  • Provide crucial onsite commissioning, diagnosis and troubleshooting to customers
  • Actively promote the business and contribute to business objectives
  • Assess emerging technologies and methods for future applications
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team and key stakeholders

Key skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualified - Electrical/ Electronic Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
  • 3 - 5 years' hands on experience with Control System design, analysis, programming and commissioning
  • Previous exposure working on control systems in the heavy industrial industries such as Mining, Oil & Gas and Energy
  • Experience with a variety of systems such as Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens and Yokogawa
  • Knowledge of Siemens PCS7 Control Systems experience (highly regarded)
  • Strong documentation skills to accurately write and compile engineering documents and reports
  • Ability to provide timely and effective technical support to customers
  • Expertise and understanding of project lifecycle from start to completion
  • Willingness to travel to sites for commissioning
  • Full working rights in Australia

You must be flexible and available to travel, as this is a requirement for the role.
