The Role:

The Dimension Group is a full-service architecture, civil engineering, MEP engineering, petroleum/fuel design, and planning firm specializing in commercial site development and underground fuel system design. We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in commercial, retail, convenience stores, and tenant finish-out projects for our Dallas office. The Civil Engineer will manage construction projects within the Dimension Group, specifically planning, design and construction activities.

− Attendance: Is punctual and present. Will request time off in accordance with policy. Will document time worked and reasons for tardiness/absence or leaving early according to company policy.

- Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects
- Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis
- Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
- Provide strong and confident leadership
- Client relationship development and management
- Project pursuit leadership and management
- Strategic and operational plans
- Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and regional management team.
- Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
- Manage the repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure
- Evaluates and responds to technical inquiries from inspectors, consulting engineers, developers and contractors.
- Additional duties as assigned

- Work effectively as a team contributor on all projects
- Detail oriented, punctual and disciplined
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of architectural design principles.
- Skilled in project and contract management.
- Ability to manage multiple project and organize and prioritize projects.
- Ability to gather and analyze information and make recommendations based upon findings in support of organizational goals and objectives.
- Ability to operate and utilize computer engineering software applications.
- Excellent communication skills both oral, written, and via email.


− Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Must have 5-7 years of prior experience in land development, civil engineering consulting, or engineering management
Previous and on-going successful client relationships with major clients in Dallas/Ft Worth

− Computer Skills/Equipment:
Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook, AutoCAD, Civil 3D

− Certifications/Licenses:
State of Texas Professional Engineering (PE) License
