Our client is one of China's largest privately owned automotive manufacturing groups specialising in innovative and new automotive technology.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a creative, dedicated and passionate individual, with expert level experience in CAE/simulation engineering across a broad range of areas, including Crash. You will become part of a vital new team at their innovative new R&D Technical Centre in Frankfurt. This is not a Management level role, but is a Technical Expert (similar to Principal Engineer), lending your skills and expertise to guide activities and colleagues in the CAE department.

Responsibilities:
- Actively drive and support functional development utilizing CAE
- Develop and establish simulation techniques to support functional design
- Analysis of simulation results and elaborating feasible solutions and optimizations in close co-operation with functional teams and suppliers
- Present and discuss simulation results with vehicle team and suppliers
- Participate in validation program including calibration of CAE model(s)
- Support definition of verification/validation test plan for optimal verification plan balancing virtual environment and hardware testing on vehicle, subsystem or component level

Requirements:
Variety of CAE experience is essential- unfortunately at this time, we are not looking for applications from individuals who have only specialised in one area of CAE throughout their career.
- At least 5 years of working experience in structural CAE (implicit and explicit)
- Strong CAE background utilizing LS-DYNA, other solver codes welcome
- Strong CAE background in NASTRAN, other solver codes welcome
- Advanced modelling skills of complex systems
- Experience in structural safety assessment is welcome
- Experience in occupant safety assessment is welcome
- Experience in NVH, Durability and Comfort analysis is welcome
- Experience in the field of multi directional optimization (MDO) or topology optimization is beneficial
- Excellent communicator with an open and structured mindset
- Excellent English language skills- German or Chinese language beneficial but not required
- Flexible regarding travels to UK Innovation Centre, Sweden, China and other countries if needed
