Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  1. Provide a detailed monthly analysis of every line item within Projects cost center together with a variance analysis and commentary to cover items including but not limited to budget, commitments, phasing of expenditure and supporting commentary and presentation material (including areas for improvement).
  2. Responsible for the submission of timely financial reports and required supporting documents from partner consultants; review partner consultants periodic financial reports and provide comments & recommendations; work with project lead for the timely preparation of financial reports and submit to the Director of Projects for review.
  3. Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc management reports for the Projects Director.

Regulatory Reporting

  1. Oversee preparation of finance and accounting related reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Review of organization Projects reports prior to submission in order to validate the quality and completeness of the financial information reported.
  3. Monitor the submission of periodical reports to organization Management to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner and to the appropriate entity.

Analysis

  1. Calculate and monitor organization' Projects financial ratios and ensure adherence to the guidelines set by the Management and the Board so that any breaches/ deviations are addressed promptly.

Data Collection

  1. Ensure a proper and concise collection of relevant accounting and financial information from various parties in order to ensure possessing the necessary data needed to conduct analyses that reflect organization' financial position in regard to its projects.
  2. Job holder is required to create and analyze reports regarding financial performance of organization Projects as per the prevailing/relevant accounting systems. Key decisions having significant impact on the department activities are referred to the Director Projects for approval before implementation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance with preferably a relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA would be an advantage.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience as Project Finance Officer, ideally working with civil and construction related projects.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (strongly preferred).
