The Role:
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse the market, the competition, business risks and opportunities from various sources of information.
* Participate in product positioning and development of the related business plan, including pricing strategy.
* Develop strategies intended to increasing sales volumes and market shares.
* Structure sales territories and draw up action plans adapted to each.
* Prepare annual sales forecasts by area, territory and product.
* Set up and analyse sales reports.
* Prepare and follow up on the department's annual budget.
* Collaborate in developing sales policies and work procedures.
* Make recommendations on product development.
* Supervise the work of the members of the sales team.
* Inform and give a technical and administrative support to team members and distributors.
* Organise and present training sessions for team members and distributors.
* Organise and lead periodic meetings with sales team members.
* Provide an efficient management of the field sales areas and direct the efforts.
* Meet and advise the sales representatives and distributors and intervene if need be.
* Develop a network of partners and distributors as well as a support program for them.
* Prepare, present, approve and follow up on quotations.
* Evaluate, select, organize and participate in trade shows and events.
* Meet current or prospective customers with the representatives.
* Manage major accounts and large-scale contracts.
* Develop and maintain business relationships with customers and strategic partners.
* Follow up on orders and customers satisfaction.
* Maintain the good reputation of the company by providing an excellent customer service.
* Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or other related field.
* 10+ years of work experience in packaging for agricultural products of vegetables, fresh fruit or relevant
* P & L (profit and loss) experience.
* Strong understanding of large account sales and ability to think strategically about new business opportunities.
* Must be a strong self-starter and sales closer, with multi-tasking ability.
* Strong ability to build customer intimacy.
* Strong project management, negotiation and decision-making skills.
* Ability to travel a substantial portion of time.
* Good command of spoken and written English.
