The Role:
This individual should possess a background in procurement and materials management with experience in a mechanical production environment and have experience in sourcing:
 Large Machining
 Forgings
 Control Panels, Motor and Electrical Systems
 Hardware to print
 Bearings
 Gear boxes
 Mechanical, Fluid and Gas systems
 High speed couplings
 Process Valves
 As well as many other industrial items
Responsibilities
· Contract negotiations and order placement.
· Implementation of cost saving strategies.
· Mange Materials deliveries, supplier quality and costing issue.
· Supplier development Strategies.
· Inventory maintenance.
· Purchasing system entries and data maintenance.
· Development of department processes and improvements.
· And other purchasing department initiatives.

Job Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
· High School Graduate required.
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing, Materials management and planning.
· Experienced in procuring, expediting and managing: Raw Material, MRO, Stampings, Engraving, Pipe and fittings as well as many other industrial items.
· Department processes & RMS operating procedures.
· Strong organization, negotiating and computer skills required.
· Job Boss experience preferred.
· Purchasing in a mechanical environment.
· Strong organizational, communication and computer skills required.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Required.
· Know how to create and review contracts.
Office Environment on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may perform work in a shop environment and will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles.
