The Role:
We are now recruiting a Workshop / Fabrication Manager to work with one of our Heavy Industrial Construction (HIC) clients based SOR. This role will see you manage a large workshop which is currently sitting at around 100 staff members, this will increase due to project demands. Our client works across a wide variety of projects from construction / oil & gas / resources etc.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Management and responsibility for the delivery of all workshop activities, including:
    -Production and Productivity
    -Commercial Profitability - cost management / tracking
    -OHS & Quality and operational performance
  • Measure, monitor, and manage all workshop activities to ensure business deliverables are met
  • Program / schedule the workshops performance & schedules with your shop floor superintendents
  • Plan and manager your work force levels and resources in accordance with job requirements
  • Provide management and leadership to all workshop personnel in order to deliver required business outcomes

This role offers a substantial salary package, plus super and full expensed company vehicle. Due to travel restrictions only candidates based in Australia are being considered at this time.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

To be a successful candidate you will be able to provide a history of HIC fabrication and large workforce management

  • Engineering degree (preferred) or trade qualifications.
  • Knowledge of SMP with the resource sector
  • Must be able to demonstrate a positive / can do attitude who can efficiently drive this through your work force
  • Also be committed to project deadlines whilst ensuring OHS is always adhered to
