MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Develops a Learning & Development (L&D) strategy in US that aligns with meeting business objectives
* Uses specialized knowledge, obtained through advanced education and/or substantial work experience, to design training curricula with adult learning theory in mind
* Identifies, tests and implements new ways to collaborate, learn, provide recognition, survey and engage our diverse employee population
* Develop and execute Executive Management Training Program
* Designs, advises the delivery of, and continuously improves the Leadership Development Program for current and future leaders
* Builds and manages the high potential programs
* Manages and leads our client University programs across North America
* Manages the integration of established internal training courses with technical and professional courses provided by external vendors
* Confers with company management and utilizes surveys to identify development needs based on industry best practices for training wind power plant operators, engineers and support staff
* Manage the development of employee training plans and roadmaps
* Reviews and evaluates learning and development programs for compliance with government standards
* Coordinates Crisis Response Team, develops procedures, and manages associated company-wide drills and training
* Develops testing and evaluation procedures
* Evaluates instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs in order to provide recommendations for improvement
* Maintains relationships with vendors and consultants and negotiates contracts
* Prepares L&D training budgets
* Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
* Additional duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 5 - 7 years relevant experience in energy or a related energy industry
REQUIRED LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
* Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
* Experience in project management and budgeting

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
* Passion for helping people learn and grow with a highly curious and collaborative mentality
* Clear and concise verbal communication and presentation skills
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed (10 - 20%)
