The Role:
A member of the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) community is expected to provide support and guidance in all aspects of procurement and supply chain management in the Exploration and Production (E&P) Segment. This includes understanding and providing strategic advice on procurement and supply chain options and risks, implementing agreed strategies to source the goods and services required by the PU, negotiating and executing contracts, and assuring effective post-award contract and performance management. Participates in and may lead the development and execution of sourcing initiatives. Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable market sector and commodity strategies. The role includes understanding the local business objectives and desired outcomes, engaging internal customers, understanding options and risks associated with supply chain activities, building supplier relationships in order to achieve superior supplier performance, negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, and the measurement/reporting of the value delivered.

Accountable for:
-Working with the relevant market sector and commodity managers to implement sourcing processes to ensure delivery of business plans and market sector/commodity strategies;
-The development of sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable market sector / commodity strategies and specific business objectives (both local and global);
-Understands business requirements for third party goods and services;
-Developing and maintaining knowledge of relevant supply market places;
-Engaging the business and provide guidance on PSCM process and risk management;
-Manages supplier relationships, engagement and involvement;
-Leading the full sourcing process which includes development of scope, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, and contract execution;
-Provides on-going contract cost management and risk assessment;
-Championing and supporting the deployment of the appropriate purchase to pay solution;
-Ensuring the PSCM common processes are implemented, used and continually improved;
-Coaching less experienced PSCM staff;
-Participating in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned;
-Interfacing where relevant with the Indirect Procurement Operations Centre;
-Effective utilization of IP Procurement Operations Center to deliver sourcing activities;
-Work closely with Service Delivery Leads and Service Delivery Coordinators to assure sourcing delivery to the business stakeholders.

-Participate in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned;
-Engage the team to follow the PSCM procedures;
-Work with suppliers to bring up to speed their operations to meet requirements;
-Keep costs under control;
-Identify risks and create and implement mitigation plans;
-Ensure that performance management processes are in place.
-Candidate provides support and guidance in all aspects of the end to end procurement process.
-Responsible for forming and implementing sourcing and contract strategies, including contract risk assessments, mitigation plans, cost review, analysis, and management.
-Responsible for the full sourcing process, RFI, RFP, bid organization, review, and supplier selection.
-Completion of the contract process; negotiation of contract terms and rates, contract execution, price book creation and maintenance.
-Provide ongoing contract maintenance; contract review, amendment, replacement, and termination.
-Create and maintain vendor relationships and vendor performance management.
-Build stakeholder relationships, provide procurement advice and assist with scope creation and review.
-Participate in knowledge improvement, engage in project teams to create new process and increase efficiency in existing processes.
-Collaborate with local and global sectors inside and outside procurement.
-Collaborate with legal to review contract language and create new contact language when applicable.
-Create contract reports and provide data base maintenance (ex. Ariba, CID, CDD, SRM).
-Responsible for new vendor set up and vendor account maintenance (Contact information and banking details).
-Review and process Contract requests, review and process purchase orders, and purchase order maintenance.
-Direct and collaborate with Global Procurement Services team.
-Understand the invoice process, assistance with invoice exception review and mitigation.
-Supports the Savings & Efficiency agenda through negotiation, sourcing and reporting.
-Leads the global IP team in Ariba Captainship.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must have relevant PSCM experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
