The Role:
* Project is Floating Production Unit (FPU), column stabilized semisubmersible offshore facility intended for production of hydrocarbons at the field.
* The FPU houses the production and living quarters for 120 POB during normally manned operations as well as the MCC buildings the topside modules installed on the FPU Hull.
* The role of the FPU Electrical Commissioning Lead is to support the Commissioning team in the performance management of the EPC contractor, who with the assistance of a commissioning engineering contractor will be responsible for delivery of a fully commissioned FPU to the Gulf of Mexico. Support will be required through the engineering/readiness phase and the execution phase to ensure the EPC contractor meets the predetermined Conditions of Sailaway and is compliant and conforms to BP codes and standards.
* The FPU Electrical Commissioning Lead will report to the Commissioning Manager but will take day to day direction from the FPU Commissioning Superintendent
* The FPU Electrical Commissioning Lead position will be based in the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) fabrication yard in Geoje, South Korea until sailaway which is scheduled for 3Q 2020. Acceptance of the role requires commitment to relocate.
* There is also the potential to follow the project to the Gulf of Mexico IPL site and offshore for the HUC & SU phases.

Key Accountabilities

HSE
* Comply with the Client's Project OMS program and Vendor and Site HSE policies.
* Candidate will be required to intervene or have appropriate conversations with team members around safe work practices if required.
* Shall notify supervision of all unsafe acts, near misses and incidents.
* Team member is required to lead by example with regards to company's HSE policy.

Commissioning
* Attend meetings as required and represent the commissioning team at other project team meetings.
* Development of all commissioning related documents, procedures, and schedules as per Mpcp v4 and OMS
* Review all electrical general, static, dynamic, regulatory commissioning procedures by the EPC contractor with a focus on:
o Hull, marine, and topsides equipment (electrical)
o Punch list management
o Temporary power requirements
o Preservation
* Represent team in key meetings with other project teams (EPC, Operations, Engineering, Construction, etc.).
* Oversee the development of the electrical system boundaries.
* Support project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including: reviewing procedures, assigning resources, periodically attending FAT, and adjusting commissioning scope to integrate FAT successes and deficiencies.
* Individual will be expected to interface effectively with project personnel (project leadership and engineering staff), operations team, contract field construction personnel, and vendor support staff.
* Individual will work in a team environment and must be able to quickly understand the roles of those in the interfacing teams, develop quick relationships, and work effectively to assure that the commissioning work integrates well in the overall project plan.

Essential Education
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and/or a minimum of 7 years of offshore project commissioning experience with a preferred 10 years in support of upstream projects or production

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
* Demonstrated track record for HSE leadership and delivery
* Experience in electrical commissioning discipline as well as start-up on Oil and Gas Major Projects
* Knowledge of Completions Management systems (CMS)
* Knowledge of SIMOPS, COW, LOTO operating systems
* Individual should have excellent interpersonal, technical, communications, organizing and planning skills; able to communicate with technicians, foremen, as well as middle management.
* Construction and commissioning delivery background, with experience on EPC projects in a Far East fabrication yard working with a diverse local and international work force: experience in working with construction and/or operations is desirable.
* Knowledge of internal Client's commissioning criteria, standards and technical practices

Other requirements (eg Travel, Location)

* This position will mobilize directly to the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) fabrication yard in Geoje, South Korea.
