The Role:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare yearly budgets and analysis. Review financial postings and documents prepared by others for accuracy and resolve audit findings. Monthly department cost tracking, reporting and analysis. Prepare monthly departmental cost reallocations. Conduct rate analysis to determine appropriate reimbursement levels and sets rates accordingly. Measures cost per unit of service to determine whether fees are being set at appropriate levels. Consults with and advises department management and accounting personnel on a wide range of cost accounting matters.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Extensive background in cost reporting and analysis. Must be detailed oriented and accurate. Must be able to effectively perform multiple complex tasks. Must have high standard of business ethics. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both oral and written. Must work well under pressure. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, Visio, Crystal Reports, Fleet Focus, SAP, E-Accounting, Budget Book, Info-Edge and able to learn specialized software quickly.

Responsible for Cost Engineering Activities delegated by the Lead Cost Engineer for the Owners Cost scope (Operations, IT&S, IPT Labor and Non-Labor, Subsurface and Wells Studies and Other Owners):

Manage the performance and provide guidance to the delivery teams ensuring that all information is underpinned by robust assumptions and analysis
Meet with Functional Managers and relevant team members to gather monthly cost forecast updates
Responsible for all deliverable preparation for Owners Cost inputs to Monthly Cost Report and PGM Cost Review
Oversee Staffing Monthly Review process performed by Central Cost Analyst
Ensure consistency throughout all Staffing Reporting and Tracking deliverables by directing day to day activities of Central Cost Analyst
Manage submittal of all Staffing related inputs (Staff Plan, PMR Staffing Slides, HC Variance Summary, Org Charts, Labor Report, PSM Monthly Updates, VP Dashboard HC table) for incorporation in monthly reporting deliverables and other ad hoc reviews

Additionally responsible for Cost Engineering Activities delegated by the Lead Cost Engineer for the FPU Integration (Prime Services Contract, Quayside & Offshore Commissioning activity):

Support FPU Integration Delivery team to evaluate potential MOCs and Variation Orders
Monitor and Control Cost for the scope including Milestones Payments and Reimbursable components
Other Responsibilities as necessary:

Support the project team as a Time Writing, Backbone, SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) by facilitating various time writing systems, Shopping Cart creation, SES Release and Invoice payment in order to ensure Owners Cost and Overall MD2 Forecasting Accuracy-
Work closely with other cost engineers, planners, and project team members in MD2 central and deployed teams in support of producing integrated and consolidated project reports and forecasts
Support the adoption of Agile Project Management techniques and Digital performance systems


Experienced (5 years) in oil & gas, preferably on large scale, complex projects
- Conversant with BPs cost engineering tools
- Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance will be required
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

B.S. Degree in Engineering or Project Management related field optional but preferred
