The Role:
The Senior Operations Technician is a member of a team with responsibility for safe production operations on . Key elements of the role include production optimisation, efficient maintenance execution and continuous improvement activities.

Working within a shift team the Operations Technician monitors and operates the installation process in order to maintain plant integrity, safety and reliability. Operations Technicians are to be conversant with front line process diagnostics in order to reduce downtime, and minimise deferment. They are also required to carry out routine & first line maintenance, preparations & re-instatement of equipment for maintenance.


Successful candidates should be able to competently Operate, Maintain and optimise plant and equipment in a challenging environment. They will be expected to use experience and initiative to safely resolve problems, improving performance and efficiency within the Asset.


Preference will be given to Multi discipline applicants with expertise in an Operations and Maintenance discipline. In particular, candidates who hold, Instrument (TCI/CIP) or Control Room Operator (CRO) competencies are encouraged to apply.

1. To assist in the continuous safe and efficient operation of the plant and facilities to ensure delivery of production targets.

2. Adhere to and promote the safety and environmental procedures to ensure their own safety, safety of personnel, safety of process plant and the environment.

3. Respond to any emergency situation under the direction of the Assistant Operations Supervisor (AOS) to provide first-line emergency response in accordance with the emergency procedures.

4. Control all work in their area of accountability through the Permit to Work system to prevent any undue conflict or unsafe acts.

5. Report any abnormal condition or potential equipment failure and take effective action as directed by the AOS.

6. Under direction of the AOS, carry out first line maintenance on equipment and routine maintenance tasks appropriate to their discipline.

7. Is responsible for the updating and availability of all relevant logs during their shift period so as to ensure an accurate and comprehensive record of plant and equipment can be maintained and any abnormal conditions can be communicated to their relief.

8. Will actively contribute to the development of others, coaching and mentoring junior Technicians.
9. Maintain Maximo work management system i.e. reporting of defects in liaison with discipline technicians to ensure correct data is input and materials, resources and target dates are captured

10. Pro-active management of own competencies.

Successful candidate will have several years proven offshore UK experience in an Snr Operations Technician role, preferably with Control Room Operator experience.
Will be able to demonstrate suitable competence assurance records
