The Role:
The Subsea Engineer provides support to the operated asset teams to ensure safe reliable operation of the subsea systems. This includes responsibility for maintenance of the subsea control system and associated documentation, management of obsolescence, life extension and critical spares. Budget ownership for the execution of inspection and maintenance of subsea systems, including inspection anomaly management, threats/opportunities, management of change and deviations. Providing asset knowledge and technical support to new development and decommissioning projects.
Purpose & Accountabilities:
Assure the safe, environmentally sound and efficient production of offshore oil and gas reserves and developing assets.
Purpose:
Maintain operating systems integrity and regulatory compliance.
Maintain guidance of operations of subsea systems
Monitoring and supporting optimization of the subsea production system
Maintaining all documents necessary to demonstrate system integrity and in compliance with Company and regulatory standards and processes.

Modifications
* Provide support at site for the installation, inspection, testing of new equipment
* Define start-up support requirements and review of Pre-Commissioning procedures and implementation for new equipment
* Collate and deliver lessons learned within operational phase into the define phase of new subsea developments
Operational Excellence
* Continuously seek advances in new technology and look to implement where feasible to deliver benefits to our operations.
Maintenance
* Ownership of the subsea control system integrity and reliability for Company's operated fields in UK.
* Evaluation, development and execution of inspection and preventive maintenance requirements and associated reporting to demonstrate ongoing subsea asset integrity for the subsea control systems.
* Develop and implement sparing, repair and obsolescence strategies for Subsea asset class, focusing on 'fixing & extending the life of the kit' rather than outright replacement
* Execute Preventative Maintenance process for the Subsea asset class and implement the output (develop, analyse & improve the 5 year rolling plan)
* Ensure Surveillance plans are in place and being worked for Condition monitoring of subsea control systems.
