The Role:
A global EPC is now on the hunt for a Brisbane based Proposals Engineer to become part of the family, in this role you will be working with the bids and proposals team to lead the company into the next goldmine of the Australian Economy - the construction of solar plants and battery storage.

You will be responsible for the technical assessment and commercial evaluation of renewable solar energy projects. To do so, you will need to work closely with the technical and procurement departments and have a good understanding of the company's capabilities and focus areas.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse RFP documents and proceed accordingly with the clarification process defined.
  • Competently prepare and submit tenders (Technical and commercial proposals).
  • Manage key client's relationships.
  • Request quotes to suppliers and subcontractors preparing information to support RFQ documents
  • Identify tasks and activities for completing bid respond and assign responsible team member within and outside organization (internal departments, consultant, JV partners).
  • Review and analyse quotes and estimations, create budget, cash-flow, and milestones payments to complete economical offer.
  • Able to review bid processes and closing with the senior management.
  • Use customer inputs to develop, present and defend suitable renewable energy solutions in coordination with technical department.
  • Source local subcontractors and suppliers in coordination with global procurement department.
  • Conduct site visits and analyse project conditions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science required

Required

  • Min 3 years relevant work experience within solar and/or battery storage industry.
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy systems.
  • Experience with budgets, scheduling, and RFP processes.
  • Proficient in Ms Office (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.
  • Highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Desirable

  • Familiar with CAD, PVSyst
  • Experience in any of construction activities (civil works, mechanical, electrical installation, electrical substations and HV lines)
  • Experience in project management
  • Financial modelling and budgeting skills using Excel.
