The Role:
Our client is looking for an Environmental Advisor to support management of risks and impacts associated with their Developments and Projects. This position will provide support to build and sustain the organisation's capability to address key environment risks and manage assurance activities.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and implement regulatory approval strategies
- Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance
- Foster and enhance a positive environment culture throughout the business
- Coordinate ALARP assessments for environment impacts and risks
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance
- Interface with other disciplines (e.g. Engineering, Corporate Affairs, Commercial)
- Develop and implement study plans in consultation with the Science Team
- Liaise with regulators and other external stakeholders
- Support business through provision of SME advice and engagement with relevant government departments and regulators to support business outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Periodic offshore travel

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, engineering or similar
- Significant (Minimum of 5 years) recent experience in a similar role in oil and gas, mining, minerals processing or heavy industry. Australian oil and gas experience will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
