The Role:
Our client is looking for an Occupational Health and Hygiene Advisor to help develop, embed and continually review occupational health and hygiene programs and initiatives across the company and will be the first point of contact for all occupational health and hygiene related issues in operations.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Provide advice and guidance on Occupational Health and Hygiene related process, standards and issues, including regulatory requirements
* Provide Health Risk Assessment expertise for onshore and offshore site personnel
* Management and monitoring of identified health hazards including Noise, Heat Stress, Benzene/VOC, Mercury and Asbestos
* Maintenance of health & hygiene hazard registers
* Process for hazardous substances control programme focal point
* Maintain database for Incident and hazard reports & undertake monthly reporting duties as required
* Coordinate and conduct event analysis for OHH incident/hazards in accordance with Event Reporting and Investigation Procedure
* Expert focal point for assessment and advice regarding fitness for work issues
* Maintain consultative relationship with Central Health Manager
* Provide medical/injury management/return to work support and assistance to the site as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role, covering Occupational Health and Hygiene
* Be a current member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists
* Be eligible for and currently registered with the Nurses Board of Western Australia as a Registered General Nurse
* Certificate in Occupational Hygiene is desirable-Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
* Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety (or in progress) is highly desirable
* Previous Oil and gas experience
* Competent Noise Assessor
