The Role:
A leading UK energy consultancy and engineering support service are looking for a number of experienced Nuclear safety case engineers to work on a growing portfolio of work in the Nuclear defence industry.
The role will likely require 3 months work on the client site in Plymouth, with the idea being to bring the work back to the Bristol office after this initial period.
With this being the case travel and accommodation in Plymouth will be covered.

Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree in physics, engineering or related discipline
* Experience in the production of nuclear safety cases and supporting documentation for civil or defence nuclear clients
* Sound understanding of nuclear safety principles and safety case processes, including deterministic and probabilistic safety assessment
* Experience in the production of hazard schedules/ fault schedules/ staged safety reports
* LIVE SILVER clearance

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Chartered engineer
* Previous experience of working in defence nuclear environment
* Understanding of submarines and PWR technology
* Experience of undertaking consequence modelling, human factors assessment, shielding assessment or radiological protection
* Experience of producing engineering change justifications/ modifications (Cat 1/ Cat 2)
* Experience of leading hazard identification studies
