The Role:

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Principal Process Engineer with good interpersonal skills to deliver process design packages in nuclear process engineering for a new build project.
Working within a small team to tight delivery timescales, you will be an integral part of the delivery of engineering solutions in the Nuclear New Build market.

A key member of the team, you will be tasked with leading working packages and providing guidance for less experienced engineers.

You will be familiar with:

* Basis of design
* Simulation (Pro II desirable)
* Process substantiation reports
* Checking of calculations (Hex, pump, compressor, column internals)
* Equipment specification
* PFD and Heat and material balance
* P&ID
* Peer review
* Design P&T / Hazop

Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Relevant industrial experience - in the absence of power or nuclear industry specific experience, we would require experience of work associated with a highly regulated industry (e.g. Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Water).
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
* Chartered or near chartered member of the IChemE or IMechE.
* Experience of major engineering projects (optioneering studies, concept studies, FEED, EPC).
* Experience in safety evaluation of process systems (HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of column and tray design, heat exchanger design, column internals design & specification will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of the EPR design and associated processes
