The Role:
* The Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) Supervisor supports applicable functions/units/projects in developing and reviewing deliverables, responding to Management requests, identifying staffing needs, and reviewing/endorsing applicable work deliverables.
* The SSHE Supervisor ensures that the tools, resources, and support are fit for purpose, providing stewardship, analysis, direction and supervisory support to drive the organization to achieve SSHE objectives and priorities.
* The SSHE Supervisor is responsible for managing reporting personnel to optimize performance and for their stewardship and career development.
* In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:
* Ensure the use of current and applicable SSHE and functional documentation
* Ensure adherence to the Risk and Change Management process
* Provide feedback for the Continuous Improvement of the SSHE Management System and promote the understanding, use and application of the System
* Comply with SSHE, legislative and functional requirements


Behavioral Skills:

Functional Skills:
* Emergency preparedness and response, incident investigation and analysis, operations integrity and compliance assessment, Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) execution support, risk assessment and management, safety management, safety regulations and standards, fundamentals of health, fundamentals of security, environmental business planning, environmental standards, regulation development and advocacy, regulatory compliance and permitting.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
* Minimum 10 years demonstrated work experience in safety-related positions (including some prior oil & gas experience)
* In depth knowledge of security processes and procedures
* Proficient in use of computers and programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
* Read, write, and speak fluent English, as required to function effectively within a project team
* Prefer minimum 7 years" prior experience working in a multicultural / multilingual, emerging nation, environment
* Demonstrated ability to deliver excellence in project SSHE performance
* Demonstrated ability to develop successful internal and external working relationships with emphasis on interfacing in a team environment
* Ability to set priorities and work independently in performing contractor services with an appreciation for company processes and procedures
* No training will be provided (other than the company's specific safety standards and procedures)

Responsibilities and duties:
* Promote safety awareness and safe performance among project team members, including consultants and contractor personnel
* Conduct regular SHE inspections/assessments on-site and at key off-site subcontractor locations in accordance with established project and site SHE plans or as requested by site team members
* Identify and work to eliminate hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts; work with company, contractor, and subcontractor management toward achieving an injury-free workplace
* Keep site management apprised of significant safety issues and plans/progress towards resolving issues and eliminating hazards
* Perform LPS observations
* Advise site team of safety initiatives, issues, challenges, and incident investigations/follow-up
* Communicate safety initiatives, achievements, experiences, and issues from other sites and projects with site team members and contractor/subcontractor safety advisors/management
* Participate in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents; prepare notifications/reports for communication of significant incidents to company project/functional management per project incident reporting procedures and matrix
* Coach and advise contractor/subcontractor safety professionals/management in incident investigation documentation, reporting, and follow-up, including root cause analysis and case management
* Monitor work processes to ensure compliance with the site work permit system and area/system responsibilities
* Ensure JLA QRs and LPSA conversations are taking place.
* Prepare/provide a safety induction briefing.
* Participates and or leads incident investigations
* Collect and share safety lessons learned with other sites and project and functional management
* Certifications in HSE
* Experience in Behavior Based Safety Program (LPS)
* Spend 80% of time field on site.
* Completes 3 LPOs per week
* Completes 1 LPO quality review per month
* Completes 5 Construction Safety Reviews entries per week Work Location: Georgetown, Guyana South America Scope: Commercial Construction of two office buildings Project Duration: 24 months Schedule: 6 days per week
