The Role:

To provide engineering support for planning preparation, and reviewing completion, work over, abandonment, wire line and well testing operations.

Supervise completion, workover, wireline & well testing and abandon within defined and authorised programmes and budget to meet project objectives, pursuing the best results in terms of performance and safety and environmental matters.

Technical authority for well integrity

Support with the skill and competence related to this position, the non-operated JV for completion work over & well testing. The Hewett field operations attend peer review and technical meetings. Establish database on third party operations.

Key responsibility areas
* Services and Material Procurement
* Completion, workover, wireline and well testing abandonment engineering and operations
* Provide support for all subsea engineering, Liverpool Bay Asset and Hewett field well intervention
* Well Completions & Intervention Scope of Work & Technical Specifications
* Review of well testing contractor and service companies performance
* Compliance of completion and workover operations with the Company Safety Management System.
* Represent at technical meetings for completion, work over, wireline and well testing for non-operated activity

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* To assist in the preparation of technical specifications and scopes of work for tendering equipment and services for completion, workover, wireline and well testing operations.
* To provide technical advice during prequalification and tender evaluation phases in order to ensure that choice of contractors and suppliers fully meet the technical specification and company standards.
* Technically evaluate bids for tender exercise.
* To prepare completion, workover, wireline, well testing and abandonment programmes.
* To prepare the final well report to be reviewed by the Well Engineering Manager.
* To prepare well cost estimates for budget and authorisation for expenditure (AFE) purposes.
* To assist in the compilation of reports and analysis on the operated and non-operated activities for presentations, meetings and reporting to management and to ensure the operations feedback reporting system is consistent with UK and corporate requirements.
* To assist in providing a review on a daily basis, the operational costs versus well programme cost comparisons. Providing a thorough investigation of operational time and costs.
* To verify on a daily basis the expenditures on each job centre for each class of cost.
* To provide the monthly updates on the variance between actual and estimated expenditures for each job centre and for each class of cost and to update the expenditures on each contract.
* To monitor pressure regimes in producer wells for programming possible interventions and to provide a technical evaluation of the completion behaviour.
* To ensure that during Completion Well Testing and Workover programmes the objectives relating to the environment have been assessed and evaluated.
* To ensure the correct scheduling of completion, workover, wireline and well testing/intervention materials and services whilst optimising the cost of transport, materials and manpower within established programmes and budgets.
* To provide accurate requisitions for all services and materials relevant to completion, workover, well testing/intervention and wireline operations.
* To ensure that offshore operations comply with the current legislation and Company standards.
* To provide engineering assistance to the well service supervisor during the operations.
* To ensure the reviewing of Simultaneous Completion, Workover, wireline, well testing/intervention operations and production procedures.
* Technical authority for well integrity:
o Support the nominated competent person to ensure that the appropriate decisions are implemented to assure safe operations.
o Advice and internal approval of technical queries and request for deviations or examinations for established standard and procedures.
o Ensure the establishment of and provide technical input for risk assessments, audits, failure investigations, management of change reviews and project reviews.
o Technical guidance for the development and optimization of performance standards.
* To review contractors and service company performance.
* To report on completion and workover operations to Milan office according to Requirements.
* To ensure full support to non-operated well operations. Attend meetings, produce reports, create and maintain data base for budget control and issue monthly reports.
* To ensure full adherence to the Company's HS&E policies, procedures and standards.
* To fully comply with Code of Ethics, and Compliance Model.

Main Interfaces (relationships):

EXTERNAL (external):
* Liaison with service companies' representatives to evaluate new technology.
* Liaison with Rig Managers as appropriate.
* Liaison with peers of other partners
Education & Professional Qualifications:
* Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent.
Required Experience and Technical Competencies (relevant experience and technical skills):
* Knowledge of legislation applicable to drilling operations and safety management systems.
* Relevant practical experience, ideally with some experience of deepwater environments.
* Excellent planning & operational skills.
