The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world's most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand. They produce almost half of the crude

The Role:
Provide purchasing & repairs support for CUE
* Manage incoming maintenance repairs
o Manage Repairs mailbox
o Repairs coordination between offshore, warehouse, internal & suppliers
o Management of expediting of outstanding repairs - quotation review, technical queries, internal approvals, PO placement in accordance with SCM policies & procedures
o Contract admin of repair POs -PO amendments, invoice queries, goods receipt queries, QA queries (quarantined) BERs etc
o Conduct supplier qualification as required
o Weekly / as required meetings with key repair suppliers as specified
* Contribute to department's Value Creation target
* Contribute to department's Oil & Gas UK award by conducting FPAL feedback sessions with selected suppliers

* Management of offshored buying service provider
o Manage Buyer's mailbox
o Provide POA approvals
o Provide guidance for complex, high value purchase requests
o Lead fortnightly calls with buyers & participate in expeditor's call
o PO admin - queries relating to goods receiving, invoicing, QA queries (quarantine)
o Conduct supplier qualification as required
o


* Buying
o Placement of Drilling casing & tubing POs
o Placement of maintenance POs usually handled by offshored buying service provider
o Occasionally Issue RFP requests, conduct bid analysis, award and expedite routine and complex purchase orders in line with Procurement Policy, ensuring placement within correct Delegation of Authority and Power of Attorney levels
o Ensure any qualifications to Terms and Conditions are negotiated, liaising with Legal Counsel where necessary

Experienced buyer / repairs coordinator - preferably with Oil & Gas background
Ability to work on own without supervision
Excellent communication, organisational & decision making skills
IT literate - SAP & eProcurement experience essential
Self-motivated with a can do attitude
