The Role:
Provide inspection and integrity subject matter expertise to client assets and Asset Integrity Team Lead.
Verifies the 3rd Party Inspection Contractor is delivering the contracted scope of work and complying with corporate, regulatory, operational and commercial requirements.


* Provide Inspection SME support to the Asset Integrity Team Leader in communications with regulatory bodies, partners and external customers and ensures Company's commercial, contractual and HSE obligations are achieved.
* Provide Inspection SME support to CUE internal departments
* Supports the Asset Integrity Team Lead to ensure HSE and IVB audit findings relating to technical integrity are appropriately followed up.
* Verify, through peer review and audits, that the 3rd Party Inspection Contractor is delivering the contracted scope of work and complying with corporate, regulatory, operational and commercial requirements
* Provide Inspection SME input to Corrosion Management Team (Expert Group) meetings
* Provide Inspection SME input to the 3rd Party Inspection Contractor.
* Evaluation of the integrity risks and advise the Asset Integrity Team Lead with the near and long-term integrity management strategy.
* Evaluate inspections techniques and integrity management database to leverage efficiency enhancements


Essential:
* Degree or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant engineering
discipline or significant experience in a similar role.
Preferred:
* Post graduate or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant
engineering discipline.
* Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status with an appropriate engineering
council registered body
* Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate.


Essential:
* Previous experience in a similar engineering position in the oil and gas
industry.
* Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data
sets used in support of above water inspection activities e.g. piping
isometrics, vessel general arrangements, piping and instrumentation
diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping schedules.
* Detailed knowledge of the uses and limitations of commonly applied nondestructive
examination techniques applied in support of above water
inspection activities e.g. magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic wall thickness
measurement, radiography techniques.
* Awareness of the uses and limitations of specialist non- destructive
examination techniques applied in support of above water inspection and
monitoring programmes e.g. pulsed eddy current, thermography, time of flight
diffraction.
* Working knowledge of inspection management database systems e.g. ACET,
COABIS.
* Working knowledge CMS (SAP or similar).
* Working knowledge of the key degradation mechanisms associated with the
deterioration of offshore production facilities e.g. internal corrosion, external
corrosion, fatigue.
* Working knowledge of inputs, outputs and processes followed in the delivery
of a corrosion risk assessment methodology.
* Awareness of key legislation and regulatory framework applicable to offshore
regime with an understanding of major accident hazards, performance
standards, assurance and verification activities.
* Working knowledge of temporary repair techniques available for offshore
process and utility piping and vessel systems e.g. box clamps, composite
repairs
* Awareness of piping and vessel design codes and the application of same to
fitness for purpose assessment e.g. ASME VIII, PD5500, ASME B31.3.
Preferred:
* Awareness of paint coat specifications and associated applications.
* Ability to apply simple fitness for purpose assessments for piping defects.
* Ability to manage and supervise sub-contracted organisations and personnel,


* Excellent planning and organisation skills with ability to deliver results.
* Computer literate with high level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office
packages, e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint as well as discipline
related software.
* Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
* Proven ability to develop highly effective working relationships - at all levels
internally and externally.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
