The Role:
The provision of high-quality reliable & fit for purpose equipment and services is a critical factor in successfully delivering and maintaining wells for offshore operations in harsh environments such as Deep Water and High Pressure High Temperature wells
There is a significant risk to Company operations through equipment failure or loss of integrity particularly on High Pressure High Temperature wells in addition to associated HSE risks
The significant cost impact of delivery of unsuitable equipment to Non Productive Time
The potential for Contractors to provide unreliable, unsuitable or unsafe equipment
Import of risk from temporary portable equipment

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
* Provide QAQC technical support to drilling, well maintenance and intervention operations to minimize Non Productive Time, reduce risk and improve reliability
* Provide technical support, advice and guidance to QA & QC Engineers where required
* Evaluate QAQC technical content of equipment and service tenders, purchase orders and contracts
* Review, Approval and update of Vendor Quality Plans to ensure current standards are followed and lessons learned are captured for continued improvement
* Lead equipment / service failure investigations to identify lessons learnt and improvement opportunities
* Resolve Inspection related anomalies and non-conformities
* Undertake verification and auditing activities on Contractors equipment and services to assure Vendor & Equipment conformance to Company & Industry Standards and Specifications
* Lead and develop product qualification / testing programmes to support integrity and reliability objectives
* Plan, facilitate, report and follow up on Key Service Provider Service Quality Meetings (SQM's)
* Ensure products are supplied to the correct standard and specification and in line with Company and Regulatory requirements
* Optimise the performance and reliability of products and services
* To fully investigate failures and determine root cause, recommendations and opportunities for improvement to control / minimize risk
* To provide Quality input, advice & support at any and all stages of equipment or Service supply
* To support the QA/QC Leader to improve & develop systems and processes to continually improve Quality


SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
* Higher National Certificate in an Oil & Gas sector related discipline
* Experience of working with QHSE Management Systems and Quality processes
* Knowledge and understanding of Oil & Gas equipment, Manufacturing processes, Industry Regulations, Specifications, Codes & Standards
* Practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of drilling, completion, intervention and maintenance operations
* IRCA registered Lead Auditor qualification
* Experience with leading investigations, Root Cause Analysis techniques and report writing
* Experience in preparing and delivering technical documents and presentations
