The Role:
The manufacture and availability of high-quality equipment is a critical factor in the successful achievement of Drilling and Wells operational targets, particularly in relation to timescales and budgets. The adoption of robust inspection and assurance processes are seen as essential for the elimination of operational downtime, this is a direct cost to the Company. The job holder must provide adequate support to the QA/QC TL to ensure that manufacturing, inspection and engineering services and contracts for Drilling and Wells activities are in place to support the achievement of these objectives and that these are managed efficiently and cost effectively and that productive and positive relationships with contractors and suppliers are developed and maintained.

Daily Drilling Operations
* Actively follow Drilling and Completion operations.
* Record, track and follow up on operational & equipment failures.
* Provide input into the Company HSE reporting systems.

Vendor Performance monitoring
* Initiate progress, follow up of performance failure investigations with Vendor's & Service Providers.
* Present investigation findings to Drilling and Wells Operations and Engineers, complete processes associated with close out of all investigations.
* Production and analysis of QA/QC data for reporting and input to continuous improvement processes.

Company Inspection / Assurance process
* Oversee all inspection activities & assignments undertaken by the Company Inspection Service Provider on behalf of the Company.
* Provide QC/Inspection guidance & support to other internal departments using the Company Inspection Service Provider Contract.
* Technical review and processing of all Inspection Reports.
* Undertake the control of all key documentation necessary to support Inspection Assignments.
* Undertake the approval & competency process for Company Inspection Service Provider proposed Inspectors & Auditors.
* Overseeing periodic and planned operational and service performance review meetings with the Company Appointed Inspection Service Provider.
* Conduct Audits and on-site verification as required to ensure compliance with Inspection process
* Undertake the control of Vendor & Service Provider Concessions & Derogations.
Provision of Equipment & Services
* Oversee internal QAQC interface Meetings.
* Provide QC technical input to Contracts, Purchasing & Materials during provision of equipment.
* Provide QC Technical input to Drilling & Wells & Operations during provision of services and temporary equipment.
Technical Support
* Provide QC/Inspection support during Quotation, Tender, Contract or Order Meetings with Vendors & Service Providers.
Drilling & Wells Quality Management System
* Complete QC / Inspection training & presentations with both internal & external parties.
* Provide input into the generation and implementation of Process Maps for key Drilling & Wells processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Foundation training and qualifications in Quality Control & Inspection disciplines with between 3 to 6 years associated experience in an oilfield service or manufacturing environment.
* Trained Internal Auditor.
* Experience working within QHSE management, systems and processes environment.
* Proficient knowledge of key inspection techniques and processes.
* Proficient knowledge of statutory and industry standard certification associated with Oil and Gas drilling & wells equipment and services.
* Proficient at drafting and delivering technical reports and presentations.
* Proficient knowledge of key Oil & Gas Industry Regulations, Relevant National / International Codes & Standards and primary manufacturing processes.
* Proficient Knowledge of Drilling and Wells & the application of Quality Assurance.
* Proficient in MS Office Professional Applications software.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* ONC or HNC in an Engineering related discipline.
* Formal Inspection & NDE Qualifications i.e. ASNT / PCN /CSWIP.
* Trained Lead Auditor.
* Proficient in Coaching and Presenting.
* Proficient in Data Base Building.
* Experience with Drilling & Completion Operations.
