The Role:
REPORTS TO : Hydrocarbon Accounting Leader
* Supervises a team of allocation analysts. The team is typically composed of 2 or 3 allocations analyst pending on activity level.
* Accountable for the team delivering a daily production allocation and shortfall result which is validated and calculated using the best available data and methods in line with applicable deadlines. This data includes but is not limited to metering data, offshore PI data, production chemistry data, well potential data, well estimate models and offshore shortfall data.
* Performs analyses in close conjunction with GSR, Well Performance and Metering, including analysis of fluid composition evolution, specifying well flow estimation methods and shrinkage calculation.
* Manages upgrades to the production data management system relating directly to the allocation, with assistance from IS specialists.
* Represent the PRHA team and provide technical support to internal and external technical audits ensuring operational issues are properly considered. Act as deputy of Hydrocarbon Accounting leader.
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal, external and Group contacts.
* Ensure high level of Analysis and Quality Control on all Data manipulated and reported.
* Keep system the simplest possible by permanently challenging requests and tuning parameters.

* Lead the monthly allocation run and ensure that all necessary corrections have been captured.
* Lead any necessary re-runs of frozen allocation results.
* Check and validate the well allocation in close conjunction with the Well Performance, Reservoir & Metering Teams and manage an improvement action plan.
* Responsible for validation of the well allocation on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
* Responsible for analysis and validation of allocation data to ensure accuracy & quality and to lead troubleshooting of any issues with the allocation.
* Responsible for defining and updating well estimation methods used for the allocation and agreeing methods with Well Performance.
* Be fully familiar with Allocation Methodology and associated dynamics constraints like Meters used to better constrain the results.
* Analyse and validate the different stages of PDMS allocation results, from the daily allocation to the monthly allocation for SOx control and validation of results to allow either a monthly or re-run freeze of historical data.
* Act as the control owner in issuing, maintaining and complying with Monthly Back-allocation SOX controls and reports.
* Act as a technical focal point with the Metering team, address any metering issues relevant to the allocation and lead a metering review when necessary.
* Monitor composition evolution and initiate any additional sampling where necessary.
* In charge of flashing the compositions received from production chemistry and of sending the flashed results for flow computer.
* Act as back-up for the Production Reporting Analyst for the daily allocation process.
* Ensure that the allocation complies with the commercial agreements in place.

* Monitor, update and distribute shrinkage factors to Well Performance team.
* Enter and process the well test data into PDMS and return the results to the Well Performance team.

* Maintain Level 2 workflows and documentation relevant to this job role.
* Proactively propose and justify modifications to allocation and well test tools (PDMS, PRO/II models, SIM4ME or Excel files) or to working methods and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability of the allocation result.
* Perform any adhoc studies in relation with Data acquisition and Allocation.
* Implement relevant controls to mitigate the risks related to SOX control PRO_01-4a and act as the SOx control owner for the SOx under the job holder's responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree in process engineering or similar discipline with minimum 8 years experience in the oil and gas industry
* Detailed knowledge of metering and allocation methods
* Extensive knowledge of onshore/offshore process and production systems and thermodynamics
* High level of computer literacy, with a knowledge of process software PRO/II
* Highly numerate with good analytical capacities
* Good administration skills combined with understanding of change control, scope preparation and implementation
* Good team working & communication skills
* Ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks in line with allocation objectives and operational constraints
* Common sense and judgment should be at high level.
* Managerial experience of small technical team
