The Role:
Accountabilities of this role;
* Develop optimal engineering solutions for well productivity, providing cost effective efficient and safe intervention operations and ensuring well interventions objectives are achieved. Creating positive & productive relationships.
* Ensure targets (safety, environmental, financial & time) are met.

The job holder is expected to:
* Demonstrate personal commitment to company SHEI&S Policies (Safety, Health, Environment, Integrity & Security)
* Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
* Interfaces appropriately with OPS, GSR, SHE and other WCM entities to ensure Intervention requests are promptly and accurately prepared.
* Provides engineering and technical solutions to well intervention challenges.
* Optimise safe working practices in the development of operational programmes, notifications and consents. Be familiar with derogations, management of change, company rules, HAZID / HAZOP etc. Liaise with the Well Examiner to ensure programmes are in line with the Well Examination Scheme.
* Works with Superintendents to ensure that all services are performed in a safe manner, to the required standard using good oilfield practice.
* Work closely with the Superintendents to ensure well planning and KPI dashboards are up to date.
* Follows the status of WTI contracts and WTI expenditures.
* Prepare, review & evaluate tenders for the provision of intervention related equipment and services. Provide cost models, technical feedback final recommendations & presentations to contract management committee etc.
* Develops estimated cost and duration, for interventions or elements of specific operations.
* Intermittently visits and audits service companies, with a Focus on both contractor and company owned equipment.
* Organizes regular offshore visits: Audits, Pre job meetings and SHE topics.
* Liaise closely with Operations to support implementation of engineering work plans & provide live intervention engineering support
* Follow up & improve well performance through collaborative evaluation & innovation.
* Prepare and present EOWR's to the Asset and capture/follow up on lessons for future activities.
* Participate in small task forces to resolve engineering / technical issues. Assist in the implementation of solutions. Participate in group wide (REX) feedback of new or innovative engineering solutions.
* Prepare & present at forums to promote company abilities / Actively pursue new technology and share knowledge within the team
* Reviews and provides input when required to the drilling and completion programmes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* The job holder should be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Petroleum engineering related discipline and demonstrates ability through experience and/or training in well servicing and completion with a minimum of 5 years experience in oil industry.
* Will obtain & improve organisational skills to prioritise and manage a significant workload in a rapidly changing environment
* Will have good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite, completion schematic packages & other typical software
* Will be committed to developing skills and experience other technical disciplines e.g. well completion design, well architecture, well integrity
* Fluent spoken and written English compulsory
