The Role:
CoW OMS Specialist supports the Client Operations and serves the OMS Team as their representative. The CoW Specialist will: - Create and modify current Client CoW documents, policies and procedures to meet client Defined Practices for Control of Work (GDP- 4.5-001)- Utilize client MOC process to document and record modifications or changes-Utilize Traction to as required to assign identified gaps or actions from internal or external audit findings as well as close actions assigned to CoW OMS Specialist-Provide oversight of the Competency Assurance process for both client and Contractor personnel performing CoW roles, perform Competency Assessments as needed to assist in maintaining accurate and current documentation of personnel-Provide monthly KPI data to client Leadership team of Permit and Energy Isolation Assessment trends, identifying gaps or improvement needs-Participate in Incident Investigations to identify CoW deficiencies and document as Lesson Learned as required by GDP-Act as SPOC for all questions and concerns related to Control of Work requirements-Provide and/or organize training requirements for all CoW related courses to include but not limited to L1RA, L2RA and permitting-Provide Oversight of CoW electronic Tools such as CoW Web-site, L2RA database, Computerized Task Manager (CTM) and Zoomerang database related to CoW needs-Work closely with client to maintain alignment client CoW policies and procedures-Actively participate with HSSE team when modification may affect CoW processes such as ASH, Energy Isolation, Permitting, etc.-Conduct CoW Self Assessments with client Leadership on a routine basis and coach as needed-Participate in all CoW related internal and external audits-Communicate CoW related activities with OMS team on a weekly basis-Routinely participate in Contractor Leadership and Staff meetings to refresh Contract employees on CoW requirements. Deliverables: Align client CoW processes and procedures to align with Group Standards. Embed all related CoW requirements into organization with assurance that all employees are trained and competency to perform their work safely and the risk of completely the task has been reduced to it lowest practical energy state. Experience & Knowledge and Behaviors: To be considered for the role of CoW OMS Specialists applicants must have: - experience in Operations or in Operations Function Support Group(s)- Working understanding and application of Operations, HSSE, OMS, CI and IM/CoW Standards-Proven ability to communicate at all levels within the workforce and management team- willing and able to work rotational shift. Must have a valid U.S. drivers license (or able to obtain one) and able to drive in winter conditions- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer- Preferred Supervisory experience- Previous North Slope Experience- Proven motivational and leadership skills- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and have impact on the hourly workforce in a non-confrontational manner- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills- Possess a strong work ethic- Be a self-starter, innovative and able to independently identify priorities and communicate them to management- Able to communicate with others including the ability to listen, engage, motivate, influence and persuade others- A sound understanding of client safety standards and behaviors- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership behaviors and competencies- Intermediate skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook- Demonstrate ability for continuous improvement Intermediate level professional position requiring a Bachelors degree and experience unless otherwise noted
