The Role:
Main purpose of the role:
* To provide a design and engineering service to internal and external customers.
* To act as the main interface between senior management and hands-on design

Key responsibilities as a Lead EC&I Engineer
* Design and Commissioning
* Technical Consultancy
* Project Management including quality, progress and cost control including documentation.
* Sales Support and Customer care
* Manage safety

Position of the Lead EC&I Engineer within the organisation:
* Reports to Senior Engineer or Design Manager
* Normally manage a project involving a team of up to 3 engineering staff, although team may be supplemented from elsewhere.
* Responsible for managing quality, progress and cost of the work carried out within the project.
* Maybe responsible for managing project subcontracts.
* Interacts with engineers of other disciplines internally and externally.
* Supervises support staff.

The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a highly regulated industry.
* Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position
* Fundamental understanding of engineering principles is required e.g. Forces, stresses, materials selection

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Expertise in the Nuclear industry
