The Role:
The company has a current vacancy for a dynamic and experienced Control & Instrument Project Engineer to work at our Teesside Operations.

Reporting to the Strategic Projects Team Leader working within a small team of engineering professionals, the candidate will be responsible for a variety of C&I project engineering duties, primarily relating to activities associated with a new Integrated Control Building and the Emergency Shutdown Replacement Study.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Assist Project Manager in delivery of FEL 3 activities encompassing both Control Building and Main Site ESD Replacement aspects
* Develop technical specifications
* Compile ITB's and then evaluate tender packages
* Provide engineering support to control room and ESD migration and mitigation processes
* Functional/Detail Design Specification Development with Vendors
* Ensure Project Safety & Design reviews are undertaken to the appropriate CoP standard
* Evaluate, co-ordinate and manage responses to all technical queries (T. Q's) and design changes from vendors
* Assist in development and preparation of overall project costings, incorporating preliminary vendor estimates
* Assist in development of project programme, including detailed control room and ESD migration sequences

Competency Requirements

* Degree educated in relevant Engineering Disciple (preferably chartered status)
* Strong background in Instrumentation, Process Control and Project Engineering
* Previous project engineer experience with specific emphasis on Control Systems
* Understanding of ESD systems and their Functional Safety Standards IEC 61508/61511
* Experience of Emerson's DeltaV DCS control systems
* On-line migration experience
* Demonstrable organisation and communication skills

They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.
