The Role:
They have a current vacancy for an experienced Document Controller to work at our Teesside Operations.
Reporting to the Strategic Projects Team Leader working within a small team of engineering professionals, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the project programme, primarily relating to the activities associated with document control.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Provide document control expertise to project teams for project management, design, engineering and construction activities associated with multi discipline strategic projects.
* Focal point for the control of project documentation and correspondence.
* Maintain Project Electronic Document Management System's in line with company procedures including document registers and document numbering.
* Control flow of information (in and out) for internal resources and 3rd parties utilising transmittals.
* Create and transmit work/commissioning control packs to workforce.
* Check in / check out drawings from SmartPlant an update key information.
* Manage document requests from vendors.
* Maintain project SharePoint sites.
* Maintain project action and TQ registers, logging responses/actions.
* Attend project meetings as required.
* Produce and distribute minutes from key meetings and update action log accordingly.
* Represent the Company to site visitors, contractors, and suppliers as required.
Competency Requirements
* Strong and proven experience in project document control - Essential.
* Sound knowledge of document control principles and proven ability to apply them - Essential.
* Experience in electronic document control (PIMS or equivalent) - Preferable
* Flexible and adaptable, demonstrating a positive "can do" approach to work - Essential.
* Ability to function well within a team environment - Essential.
* Effective time and workload manager - Essential.
* Ability to use Microsoft packages - Essential.
* Knowledge of SmartPlant and SharePoint - Preferable.
* Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate - Essential.

The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.
