The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will manage the Finance function ensuring high-quality financial information and analysis is provided ensuring that the function deliver a value adding effective service which is consistent with its short and long-term plans.

* Lead the local Finance team by setting strategies and goals that will provide a service to the site to comply with the Central Services Vision of "Supplier of Choice" and Financial Services Vision of "Adding Value"
* Finance Point of contact (FPOC) for Partners committees (MC, FC, BC, TC and CC) and providing Finance budgets, forecasts, long range plans, project approval requests, and updates on key financial issues affecting the Teesside plant and its operations
* Provide pro-active and comprehensive business analysis, financial advice and performance measurement to the Site Leadership Team, to support decision making and to optimise business plans
* Co-ordinate the Cash and Earnings Forecasts
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate and legislative requirements and that the appropriate levels of financial control are in place
* Act as local liaison with Corporate Service Groups such as Insurance, Tax and Financial Audit
* Responsible for the preparation of reports; analysing and forecasting of overhead and operating costs and capital expenditures to provide a reliable basis for decision making
* Maintain proper accounting records for the Operating company
* Statutory accounting and reporting for Norsea Group
* Economic evaluation of Teesside projects
* Actively participate in Finance knowledge sharing processes
* Drive vendor payment performance to achieve corporate targets

The Company:
Our client ConocoPhillips is a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Accounting, Finance or Business Degree
* Extensive experience in Accounting, including leadership experience
* Experience within the oil and gas industry or other regulated industry
* Competency and experience in a finance, commercial and accounting
* Extensive knowledge and confident to discuss issues and opportunities with technical and functional groups
* Demonstrable experience in Contract and Project management experience
* Experience using Microsoft products and SAP systems
