The Role:
Our client has a current vacancy for an experienced PCMS Piping Draftsman to join their Teesside Operations.
Reporting to the Asset Integrity Team Leader, the position forms a crucial link in the ongoing piping inspection program for the site. The candidate will be responsible for producing data to support the scope to drive specific, intelligent scoping to concentrate on onsite inspection efforts where it is most needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Production of accurate and up-to-date system isometrics for every high & medium risk pipe on site and populate them with corrosion monitoring locations containing pipe wall thicknesses (Currently there are a total of 93 site-wide system isometrics detailing approximately 5,200 pipelines).
* Continually validate these system isometrics by:
o Cross checking each line against the current P&ID, the SmartPlant line list and the 'Master Line List' spreadsheet. The current isometrics show numerous dissimilarities which require ongoing investigation
o Maintaining the system isometrics by adding any future plant modifications.
o Conduct site surveys of all drawing anomalies and inform drawing office and the PCMS Data Management Lead of any findings.
o Maintain an up-to-date copy of the system isometrics in SmartPlant. Book drawings in and out of SmartPlant as appropriate.
o Post inspection: update the system isometrics with any observations in the inspection reports.
o Update system isometrics post repair of defects (part of Anomaly Management).
o Main focal point to ensure Fabrication Job Packs are communicated to Asset Integrity Department.
* Use PCMS to record which corrosion monitoring locations have been added to the system isometrics
* Work closely with the PCMS Management Lead to obtain the latest corrosion monitoring inspection reports. Add corrosion monitoring locations to the system isometrics after the information from the reports has been input to PCMS.
Competency Requirements
* AutoCAD Certificate of Competence (Advanced Level preferred but not essential) or demonstrable experience qualifications - Essential
* Equivalent to UK Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering - Desirable
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages - Essential
* Experience in PCMS (Plant Corrosion Monitoring Software) - Desirable
* Willing to be trained in PCMS (Plant Corrosion Monitoring Software) - Essential
* Experience in the oil and gas industry or other regulated industry - Essential
* Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with good communication and workload management - Essential
