The Role:
The company has a current vacancy for an experienced Medium-Term Planner to work at our Teesside Operations.

Reporting to the Integrated Planning Team Leader and working within our planning and scheduling team, the candidate will be responsible for delivery and control of medium term resource forecasting, the 1-2 week execution schedule and adherence to site planning and scheduling standards.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Facilitate the monthly resource forecasting process and communicate requirements to key stakeholders.
* Attend key Planning and Scheduling meetings (Weekly resource allocation meeting / Weekly schedule sign off meeting / 6-week planning gate meeting)
* Lead the development and sign-off of the 1-week schedule
* Lead key Planning and Scheduling meetings (Weekly resource allocation meeting / Weekly schedule sign off meeting)
* Develop and maintain SAP planning dashboards for users
* Work closely with operational zone leads, co-ordinators, functional engineer's and trade supervisors to ensure work is correctly prioritised and scheduled
* Liaise with the Work Delivery Lead to improve planning and scheduling performance
* Monitor planning performance using appropriate metrics
* Assist in the development of relevant Planning and Scheduling procedures and processes
* Produce and deliver training resources for planners and schedulers
* Audit compliance of the site scheduling and planning standards

Competency Requirements
* Approved apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - Essential
* Minimum City & Guilds/ ONC certificate in engineering discipline or equivalent - Essential
* Familiarity with CDM Regulations - Desirable
* Maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry or other regulated industry - Essential
* Strong understanding of activity scheduling, planning and site working standards - Essential
* Knowledge of engineering principles and proven ability to apply them to real-world problems - Essential
* Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate - Essential
* Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills - Essential
* Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation - Essential
* Ability to use Microsoft packages and SAP - Essential
* Good reporting, communication and workload management - Essential
* Appropriate Physical and Mental Capability to undertake the role - Essential

Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.
