The Role:
The Senior QC Inspector supports the project through enforcing the project Quality Surveillance Strategy as a means of assured Quality. Ensures that the commonality and synergies are taken care of in design and construction of new facilities and associated modifications.

Performs quality control throughout the construction phase and mechanical completions by implementing the project quality management system, ensuring quality control as an assured deliverable.

Complying with the safety cardinals and quality objectives
Monitoring and observing the inspection of all contractor personnel and workmanship is accomplished in accordance with approved designs, international codes, standards and procedures.
Monitoring the production quality to ensure client requirements are being achieved
Assuring conformance to the verification schemes, the pressure equipment directive, low voltage directive and dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres.
Interfacing with the contractor representatives ensuring that inspections are carried out expediently.
Monitor and observe inspections on equipment at site at planned intervals, assuring the integrity of the equipment.
Monitor and observe contractor procured materials and reviewing material certification
Review and accept or disapprove method statements and inspection and test plans.
Monitor and observe the calibration status of test equipment being utilised on the project ensuring that the equipment is within calibration prior to use.
Production of weekly report / inspection visit reports / summaries and issuing to the project quality lead
To be pro active and work closely with the contractor and its subcontractors, to ensure that the equipment installation works comply with contract requirements, safe practice, approved work procedures

Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Valid CompEx (Or equivalent)
Hawke Cable gland training course
Knowledge of quality within the construction industry
Experience of the needs of other disciplines and how these link to the quality, particularly Structural, Piping, E&I, Mechanical, Construction, Mechanical Completion, Construction Safety, Integrity, Verification, Regulatory compliance
