The Role:
The company has a requirement for up to four shift supervision positions within the manufacturing area at our Teesside facility.

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the primary responsibilities of the role(s) is the management of shift team(s) and the safe and efficient operation of equipment to enable processing of crude oil and/or NGLs through the Teesside Terminal which is a top tier Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) site.

You will become a key member within an established shift supervision team and will be expected to provide direction and support to both shift operators and assist in new operator training. You will be responsible for key decision making within the relevant area(s) to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment is maintained at all times. As part of the role, you will become site incident controller trained for any incidents which occur.

Within the Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) you will have key responsibilities for the isolation and preparation of equipment for maintenance, management of permit to works (PtW) and then the safe and efficient recommissioning of equipment and processes. You will work closely and liaise the day staff at the terminal ensure the 100% availability target for site is maintained.

Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making / problem solving skills are essential for the role along with a detailed understanding and knowledge of process equipment/plant operation within a continuous manufacturing process.

Shift work is a requirement of this role and area-specific training will be provided.

Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Full valid driving licence - Essential
* Ability to work at heights and wear Respiratory Protection Equipment - Essential
* Petrochemical plant experience - Essential
* Operations experience at Teesside - Desirable
* Knowledge and Operation of Process Plant, Equipment and Emerson DeltaV Control System - Desirable
* NVQ level 2 in Process Plant Operation or equivalent - Desirable
* City & Guilds in Process Plant Operation or equivalent - Desirable
* Knowledge of ISSoW or Other Isolation Management & PtW System - Desirable
* Knowledge of COMAH - Desirable
