The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Test Supervisor to supervise and optimise scheduling within the vehicle test department of our client, a global supplier to the automotive industry.

- Project lead and deliver test projects at optimum profit, quality and timing
- To research and recommend suitable technologies and equipment to support future requirements
- To develop relationships with key customers towards obtaining test work opportunities
- To lead external and internal 'test' projects and deliver them at optimum profit/cost, quality and timing
- To supervise the preparation and rapid installation of vehicles onto test facilities ready to test
- To maintain vehicle test procedures
- To develop the capabilities of team members including training requirements
- To liaise with quality departments to ensure compliance of Build and Test with Company procedures
- Other duties as directed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- A degree in Automotive, Mechanical or Production Engineering OR
- A minimum of five years supervisory experience in a vehicle test or Emissions environment

Skills & Experience:
- Responsible for maximising utilisation of test facilities
- Responsible for Test department's data checking and reporting tools and for allocation of test vehicles onto suitable test facilities
- Responsible for supporting facility specification and analysis including test equipment
- Responsible for Build and Test compliance with Company quality procedures
- Detailed knowledge of emissions legislation - current and future
- Understanding of Health and Safety, Risk and COSHH assessments

- Self motivation and drive

- Good communication skills
- Commercial Awareness
- Project Management knowledge
