Axle Modules Management & Technical Support

The Role:
Role Description
The main duty is to manage the Chassis Axle modules to ensure that the parts being supplied by Group partners for Pre-series builds / projects are the correct level specification for the client. The role also requires technical support for Axle Engineering Change and Validation testing. Another requirement will be technical leadership on problem resolution work for Pre-series quality or performance concerns. Finally, team equipment management to ensure test kits and calibration are up to date will be another task to be supported in this role.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage Axles EFS1 Platform Engineering Change (AEKOS, ECRS, PERMITS)
* Manage Axle BOM for Chassis at TKAS and VWSK including Corner Modules @ Sedalmeyer
o Parts level timing and cross functional integration, e.g. Electrical Version Lists, etc
o SIM and Proto Build BOM management (Pre OS BOM/ Build support) including EFS1 Parts Tracker maintenance
* Axles KPMs (Support EFS1 Pre-Series Problem resolution work)
* PVR testing - Axle Systems (Misuse, etc.)
* Axles Geometry Data Support
* Axles PDM maintenance and Support
* Manage Pre-Series Test Parts Ordering (Including Wheels & Tyres)
* Vehicle usage planning and support for testing
* Manage EFS Engineering Parts storage on and off site
* Instrumentation kits and calibration support for EFS1 equipment
* Equipment register including Capex applications

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Excellent communication skills
* Engineering experience (Preferred Automotive)
* Flexible work ethic including Overseas travel
* VW group system knowledge preferable (Avon, Teivon, KVS, Workflow)
* Project management skills
* Computer literate (MS work packages, Excel)
* German language (Advantage - Documents)
* Full UK driving licence
