The Role:
To provide a quality specification, aligned to the appropriate Product Description Book(s), to enable the business to plan, cost and manufacture the company's product range accurately and effectively.

1. Responsible for developing and maintaining BOM related technical knowledge /capability consistent with Systems and Processes as they are deployed or introduced.

2. Responsible for delivering and maintaining accurate and coherent product specifications. You will play an integral role in part release (project dependant). Accountable for the self-monitoring of data accuracy, and be capable of generating Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) allowing total project/product visibility thereby demonstrating both measurable and successful achievement.

3. Responsible for the structure of both logical and maintainable, hierarchical Bill of Materials specifications, Configuration Management (where necessary) and the assignment of PR codes and or Feature Strings, to enable the successful transfer of data from the Production Bill of Materials to the business Manufacturing System.

4. Accountable for the timely part structuring for all aspects of build. This will embrace project Gateways, Milestones and Deliverables up to the production phase and beyond.

5. Feature Control:
Generate/maintain Product Description Books and Country Matrices.
Manage MBT system. Ensure correct configuration of PR numbers (feature codes) and rules

6. Change Tracking:
Coordinate the evaluation and implementation of changes to parts which are developed elsewhere in Group and apply to Client.

7. Problem Solving
Ability to solve complex Design and Logistical structure problems. Analysis and management of several structure related issues to identify the root cause.
Collect, manage and analyse data to produce reports/presentations as appropriate and progress structuring status. Deliver presentations at appropriate level.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Higher National Certificate or appropriate Engineering Degree, or strong working experience.
* High level of analytical data analysis and interpretation
* Competent in understanding and/or creating vehicle specifications
* Adept in multiple data handling systems, e.g. Client Group systems, Excel, BO, LCA, etc.
* Able to work accurately under pressure with rigorous attention to detail
* Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums
* Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility
* Understanding of financial impact within area of responsibility
* Relevant experience in the automotive industry would be advantageous
* German language skill desirable
