The Role:
Todays motor car is embracing connectivity and providing customers with more services and features than ever before. As a consequence the development of a connected car is placing very different demands on the Aftersales processes, systems and organisational structures, which ensure the luxury in-service support our customers expect.

This role is responsible for supporting the Connected Car project within Aftersales, and working within the departmental teams to effectively deliver the project. The role will also involve cross-business working and liaising with Sales and Marketing, Engineering and IT to ensure that the Aftersales department can meet its Connected Car project objectives.


1. Support the Aftersales development of a cross-model line Connected Car project delivery

* To support and actively participate in the cross-model line Connected Car projects within Aftersales
* To represent Aftersales in cross-business forums on Connected Car
* To clearly understand, implement and drive the customer-focused service offering for the Connected Car program.
* To support Aftersales departments to enable the delivery of Connected Car services, both current and future
* To form a working relationship within Aftersales across the Group with respect to connected car.

2. Connected Car Operations within Aftersales

* Define, take responsibility for and drive the required project plans and activities within the functions of aftersales
* Actively develop information required for support of Connected Car, including literature, processes and support requirements
* Test, validate and launch processes, systems and delivery of information for Aftersales, Dealers and Customers
* Develop support and training materials for the network and internally within Aftersales as required
* Own and deliver specific projects as required within Aftersales (e.g. SIM card connectivity; collation and analysis of Connected Car usage data; integration of information based on business experiences)
* Support Aftersales colleagues with the continual operational delivery of Connected Car related business
* Within Aftersales, provide the (IT) support (if required) and communication services that are provided for Connected Car services
* Within Aftersales, provide the support and communication services for CRM and third party services

3. Support the definition and development of Connected Car services

* Identify potential Connected Car services and functionality, and that could provide opportunities for revenue or savings for the business
* Identify competitive and innovative usage of connected car services to provide a market leading luxury experience for our Customers
* Establish the potential benefits to Aftersales of a connected gateway, and data capture from the car park
* Define the process for management, analysis and usage of vehicle data and telematics
* Undertake assessments and validations within Aftersales and support the development of a luxury service using the functionality provided
* Work within Aftersales to develop this requirement for our customers, liaising with Engineering, Sales & Marketing, IT and Group as required


* Participation within or experience of working on operational technology projects within the automotive, or communications industry.
* Experience of working on cross-functional projects, and delivering to strict deadlines
* Project management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
* Strong influencing skills
* Ability to self-start, demonstrate proactivity, take initiative, continually improve and evolve oneself.
* A strong appreciation of the voice of the customer and of customer values in relation to technology products.
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent command of the English language and demonstrable experience of communicating effectively, both verbally and written.
* Collaborative working style with a strong focus on team working.
* Knowledge of the automotive industry, the dealer network model and the associated sales processes advantageous
* Strong attention to detail.


* Experience of internet connectivity, application solutions, data management, mobile services and management of user journeys extremely beneficial
* Understanding, and experience, of vehicle telematics will be advantageous
* Knowledge of vehicle service, warranty and diagnostics extremely beneficial
* Familiarity with business to customer relationships, personal data protection and an understanding of brand positioning is important
* Experience of backend IT solutions to front end User usage would also be beneficial
* An ability to think creatively, understand and use data for evaluation, and have an open-thought approach to new ideas would be very useful assets


* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Automotive industry experience, especially in Aftersales and/or technical would be desirable
