Overview

Support all aspects of administration and financial budget reporting within the department and collate financial responses. Provide further support for central Engineering with overhead budgets and Site Capital coordination from functions.

Main Responsibilities

Support all aspects of administration and the financial budget process within the department, working closely with Engineering Coordinator and Engineering Finance to meet the R&D target

a. Coordinate all budget forecasts, working closely with the Engineering Coordinators to ensure the data inputted is accurate and in line with project timing and budget parameters.
b. Coordinate TCD responses and liaise with relevant departments before submission to project within agreed timescales.
c. Attend regular Engineering Coordinator forums and provide feedback on recent functional activities and developments.

Evaluate changes to the department financial performance, identifying opportunities and risks

a. Identify any significant project decisions reflected within the budget - additional approved funds, timing changes, labour rate changes.
b. Responsible for the collation and presentation of data to support Engineering/cross-functional meetings and forums

Support capacity planning

a. Collate and analyse functional input for all capacity planning activities.
b. Management of standard template for all to use showing the current and new projects, in line with latest project plans from Product Management.


Skills & Experience

- Demonstrable, proficient planning, organisation and operational skills
- PC literate, excellent communication and organisational skills (self and others)
- Proven self-starter and able to work independently
- Communicates effectively at all levels and be able to progress, challenge and resolve issues
- Demonstrating the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects with fast paced deadlines
- Ability to build relationships within the department and across the business
- Able to work unsupervised and make informed decisions
- Ability to work as a team player and support others with increased workload as required
- Communicate effectively across all level in the business


Qualifications

- Educated to A Level or equivalent
- Good working knowledge and experience of Financial Management
- Advanced level of IT literacy (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
