The Role:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that new product launch projects are effectively managed and delivered to stakeholder expectations.
Working cross functionally, with regional teams and within the Academy team to deliver the increasingly complex new and existing product training KPI's to ensure the achievement of PEP gateways, project milestones and business objectives to time, cost, and quality; that ultimately deliver an extraordinary retailer delegate experience. Responsible for project management governance that drives achievement of the product training KPI's
Key to the success of this role is the management and ability to lead subsidiary external agencies. This role must works closely with Global Operations Managers, Global Technical Manager & Learning Design Manager in Retailer Academy.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Management
* Represent the Academy in all relevant project and product launch planning meetings across the business and ensure all relevant stakeholders in Academy are informed of key information on regular basis
* Ensure that Academy activities achieve PEP gateways/deliverables, LS planning gateways
* Creation and management of a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully deliver the project including risks and issue management
* Drive the delivery of a communication strategy to update on the progress of the project
* Definition and management of the resource requirement (time, budget, equipment, vehicles etc.) and coordinate allocation of resources to specific activities
* Drive the approval of the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated for approval with stakeholders
* Project governance communication and support to Learning Design Team to manage and implement effective design and implementation of key processes
* Manage and report on all budgeted project expenditures, ensuring that all financial records for the project are up to date and accurately reflect spend and remaining forecast
* Work with Governance & Standards team to define eAcademy set up requirements such as Learning Programme creation, User Acceptance Testing programme, and User training needs where appropriate
* Support and coaching of Project Co-ordinators and Academy interns

2. Event management
* Manage the location selection and site recces in conjunction with the lead event agency in order to secure appropriate venues/tracks/facilities that fulfil the event scope and design
* Managing the operations of each product launch event to ensure that delegate experience, learning objectives and scope are fully met
* Resource deployment and onsite event management for all support teams (internal and external)
* Manage the production of assets according to design scope as required to deliver an extraordinary event experience, working collaboratively with agency to deliver this
* Create the supporting communications, including the event website and delegate communications, that fully meets the design and project scope
* Management of all logistics including vehicles, assets, staff travel & accommodation, offsite dinner venues
* Managing operational and logistical challenges with effective problem solving and escalation to Global Learning Manager

3. Supplier management
* Managing the identification, evaluation and on-boarding of external agencies
* Management of the supplier relationship with lead events agency (and subsidiary suppliers).
* Responsible for the communication, tracking and issue management required to drive effective delivery of all Global Product Training
* Management of internal stakeholders such as Purchase and Finance to enable supplier management is effectively delivered
* Liaison and management of internal Subject Matter Experts such as the Product Management team to supply timely, accurate product information to ensure the supplier can effectively deliver as required

4. Project control, review and evaluation
* Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
* Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
* Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
* Other project /engagement activities support as directed
* Undertaking post-delivery and implementation reviews and conducting Lessons Learned
* Providing status reports and regular communication as necessary
* Develop, monitor and control processes covering all project work including course development, delivery and review (post completion)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
* Proven track record of project managing and demonstrable experience and understanding of project management tools and techniques
* The ability to work collaboratively with all levels with the ability to push forward with initiative
* Strong managerial skills of self, with a high level of personal accountability
* Proven analytical and organisational capability
* Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
* Able to evaluate and reflect on own work
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills as well as resilience and person effectiveness
* Self-starter with ability to prioritise workload and work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to work within a cross functional team

Practical & Technical Knowledge:
* Strong product and technical knowledge is required with an understanding of bringing products to market and implications for the regional differences in the global retail network
* Working knowledge of Work
