The Role:
The Paint Facilities Engineer is responsible for developing, agreeing and delivering detailed facility requirements as allocated to them by The Paint Facilities Functional Manager. This includes project managing internal/external customers and suppliers to ensure involvement and delivery of the concept, specification, procurement, design, manufacture, installation, integration, training, handover and sign-off of projects both on & off site as appropriate. The Paint Facilities Engineer must deliver to the agreed Timing, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets whilst ensuring legal compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

Technical
* Development and implementation of Paint facilities, equipment, technologies, in line with the required timing and levels of approved investment
* Apply Practical Problem Solving and Control techniques to pro-actively deliver solutions, mitigate risk and solve issues
* Ensure continual updating of technical knowledge. E.g. Liaison with Group Colleagues, Benchmarking, Training etc.
* Ensure facilities comply with all Legal Statutes e.g. - Health and Safety at Work Act, Construction, Design & Management Regs, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regs, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order etc.
Financial
* Delivery of projects within agreed budget targets
* Management of project cost risks
* Obtaining authorisation for Capital Expenditure Investment
Planning
* Concurrence of responses to Business requirements, e.g. TCD and AEKO, etc. Working with other areas.
* Generation of deliverable milestones & monitoring detailed Project plans
* Work in close conjunction with other areas of production planning (launch and process & feasibility) to ensure a consolidated approach and the continuous development of effective and efficient ways of working
Project Management
* Delivery of all projects in accordance with Business requirements (Quality, Cost and Timing) and alignment with PEP
* Pro-active avoidance or containment of Project risks
* Ensure business compliance to relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Legal statutes
People
* Supporting of team initiatives and activities in relation to Stimmungs barometer and colleague engagement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience in
* Paint Facilities Project Delivery role
* Business Financial management and acumen
* Effective cross functional communication
* Project Management
* Risk Mitigation & Containment
* Health and Safety Legislation

Practical & Technical Knowledge:
* Knowledge of Automotive Engineering including Paint technology.
* Civil Engineering, including building construction methods, services, planning permission process etc.
* Mechanical Engineering, including steelwork construction, machine design, pressure systems, etc
* Electrical Engineering, including power transmission, High and Low voltage distribution systems.
