The Role:
HR Specialist in the delivery of the General Data Protection Regulations compliance for HR function, focussing on HR Operations / employee lifecycle processes. Employment Law expert with experience in contracts, policies and procedures, data protection compliance and change management.

Project managing the analysis of current contracts, policies and procedures; identifying gaps to comply with legislation and implementing practical, pragmatic solutions to achieve full compliance, within an agreed timeframe. Working closely with Quality & HR Programme Manager to align delivery of HR compliance with wider business GDPR compliance.

Operating closely with functional HR Colleagues, providing advice, guidance and support.

Main Responsibilities:
GDPR Statutory Compliance;
 Work alongside HR team in analysis of all current HR policies, procedures and practices and employee contracts in context of compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations legislation.
 Providing a comprehensive and complete gap analysis of the actions required to ensure compliance, categorised by urgency of risk.
 Work with process owners in HR to deliver the adaptation/development of policies, procedures and practices, to ensure compliance and embed review periods to enable future compliance.
 Create and populate the Personal Data Asset Register.
 Develop and publish a HR Policy for Individual's Rights.
 Take a practical, pragmatic approach to provide solutions that are clearly understood, of high quality and fully compliant.

Change Management;
 Negotiations with Company Council and Trade Unions, as appropriate
 Introduce 'Privacy by Design' and embed in processes.
 Take a 'future-proof' approach and, wherever possible, a systemised approach to enable future compliance.

Project Management;
 Developing a project plan and leading through to completion.
 Liaising with and leading key stakeholders to ensure delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable HR operational experience within a fast-moving, pressurised environment
Demonstrable experience of UK data protection legislation compliance
Experience of process redesign/transformational change programmes
Ability to work on own initiative, with excellent planning and organisational skills
Advanced project management skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business
Ability to analyse data, solve problems and use creative thinking to reach appropriate solutions for stakeholders
Ability to think strategically and develop new policies and procedures

Practical & Technical Knowledge:
Highly IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Expert knowledge of UK employment law and contract law required
Advanced presentation skills required

Qualifications:
Degree qualification or equivalent required (ideally in Business or HR)
Chartered Membership of CIPD/Post Graduate Level HR Qualification re
