The Role:
Main Goals & Objectives:
* This is a technical role within production systems, responsible for the advanced analysis of all defined manufacturing process specifications in line with PEP, assessing for manpower budget delivery, quality, product delivery and health & safety procedures.
* The role requires the technical specialist work cross functionally across the organisation to generate and define a specific time value in line with all production process specifications as well as having the ability to identify that fully trained personnel are utilised to ensure required quality standards are met.
* The role has full responsibility for the generation and validation of accurate process time specifications in line with concept and pre-production build activities that is key in supporting & delivering an accurate manpower plan both short term as well as long term ( data generated supports Planning Round - 5 year Manpower Plan ).
* The role is accountable for providing timely and accurate time estimates for TCD's, Aeko's, PDB's and Make vs Buy activities.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the generation of process time values:
a. Responsible for obtaining appropriate resources, ie documentation, video reviews etc.
b. Work cross functionally with Production, Technical Engineers, Engineering, Production Planning, Logistics, / kaizen etc. to lead and agree a common end goal.
c. Responsible for continued development and maintenance of time values in line with process development / maturation and line side layout.
d. Evaluate and manage all time estimations for TCD / Aeko / PDB / Permit Responses.

2. Accountable for providing timely and accurate time values for estimating:
a. Utilise technical knowledge and expertise for relevant areas of responsibility.
b. Work cross functionally with Production, Technical Engineers, Engineering, Production Planning, Logistics, / Kaizen etc. to generate common base assumption.
c. Develop responses in line with data available utilising best practice, bench marking, MTM etc.

3. Support module activities:
a. Support Virtual build and module reviews in line with project time line requirements.
b. Develop base MTM estimate / bottom up forecast / benchmarking accordingly.
c. Support and utilise the approach of 3P workshops / idea generation workshops appropriately.

4. Support both Pre-Production and series Production:
a. Support cross functional build phase meetings / build events as required in order to develop and validate time values in line with process development / maturation.
b. Lead & provide technical expertise as a support mechanism to the process design team to define best practice process specification and target times.

5. All activities are conducted in line with BPS and company systems:
a. Effective use of AP to generate MTM pattern development and the creation of SWC and line balance charts in line with production and project requirements.
b. Co-ordinate cross-functional AP activities to resolve concerns to achieve business objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A level of experience working in manufacturing environment or proven track record in associated technical role.
* Demonstrated capability in developing and accurately updating documentation.
* Experience of working to timing plans and to strict time schedules.
* Experience of cross-functional working.
* Knowledge of both project and production related systems and processes.
* Experience of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing philosophies.
* Proven team player, with good communication skills and commitment to building positive relationships with other functions.
* Highly self-motivated and responsive to constantly changing demands.
* PC literate - Excel, Power Point, Word
* Arbeitsplan ( AP ) - Group wide system for controlling & generating Standardised Work Charts.
* Knowledge of production assembly processes.
* Able to communicate with all levels across the organisation.
* Ability to lead and participate in cross functional workshop.
* Knowledge of the produc
