The Role:
* To support all Engineering functions and associated departments with export/import in the event of a "no-deal Brexit" outcome.
* To enable the free flow of Materials, Cars and Test equipment within the EU by providing advice and practical help with paperwork, planning and information on customs law, commodity codes and Incoterms.
* The role would work as an interface with Engineering and the customs department/customs broker.

Logistics essential but import/export/customs is not. Full Training will be given to the successful candidate.

Scope of the Role:
* Man a help desk for Engineering via telephone and email during normal working hours and potential extended hours if required.
* Be able to enable Engineers to flow materials/cars/equipment across customs borders in Europe by ensuring paperwork and rules are correctly followed/completed
* Advise Engineers where required in the correct way to complete Customs declarations/Carnet.
* In Emergency situation complete the required documentation on behalf of Engineers.
* Help Enable the correct decisions on Incoterms and commodity codes where applicable
* Advise on dual use legislation and act as an interface with the customs department where applicable.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience with customs regulations preferred but training can be given
* Customer facing experience desirable
* PC Literate (Including Microsoft Office Suite)
* Ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to work additional hours at short notice
* Good knowledge of the automotive industry preferred but not essential.
