The Role:
The Reliability Project Engineer, is responsible for the planning and budgeting of the Quality and Reliability testing programs conducted as part of the PEP Process. This includes influencing key stakeholders to achieve vehicles and resources to achieve reliability targets whilst minimising cost to the Business.

By extension of this planning role, the position holder also provides the interface between the Project Team and the Whole Vehicle Reliability Testing Team during the reliability testing process.

The role also includes the Project Relevant preparation for Whole Vehicle based Group Sign Off events.

Scope of the Role:
1. Planning
* Developing plans and budgets for vehicle reliability testing programs in collaboration with the project stake holders including Whole Vehicle Engineering, Product Management & Group Quality
* Influencing key stakeholders including to optimize the number of test vehicles and mileage targets with respect to achieving test and budget
* Monitoring and reporting spend to ensure agreed budgets are adhered to

2. Project Vehicle Build
* Agreeing, Specifying and ordering reliability vehicles and working cross functionally with Manufacturing Pre-Series and the project team during the build and delivery of the cars to ensure build conformity (Build Level and Quality)
* Planning and steering special project car build requirements such as Data logger and measurement equipment harness during the build of the cars in production.

3. Project Release
* Monitor key project deliverables applicable to reliability testing and Whole Vehicle release, together with top concerns raised during the reliability process and providing status reports for presentation in project forums up to board level.
* Coordinating the project relevant preparation for Whole Vehicle sign off events and ensuring all required documentation is complete.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills and Experience:
* Experience with Whole Vehicle Testing processes and methods
* Experience with Engineering Vehicle Development Processes (PEP)
* Experience with understanding detailed Whole Vehicle Testing requirements and estimating required resources and costs.
* Experience working Cross Functionally with strong influencing skills
* Experience with assessing planned technical changes to vehicles and determining testing requirements
* Excellent planning skills
* Good PC Skills Microsoft Excel, Power point

Practical & Technical Knowledge
* Detailed technical knowledge of motor vehicles and systems and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
* Degree/HND in a technical discipline
