The Role:
An additional resource is required to support a significant risk management process improvement project during 2020.
Candidate will have a strong background in risk management, with a particular focus on designing, developing and delivering risk training & awareness initiatives across organisations. e.g. risk processes, systems etc. plus analytical skills.
Candidate will work as part of small GRC team, as part of overall Finance Function.

Scope of Service:
* Design and develop a range of risk training programmes.
* Produce course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises.
* Deliver training in both formal F2F events and informal small group settings.
* Monitor and review training results to ensure knowledge is effectively embedded and utilised appropriately in accordance with learning objectives.
* Assist with the effective roll out of supporting operational processes.
* Help managers identify and address specific learning needs, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
* Share best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment.
* Conduct train the trainer sessions for key projects/sub-projects.
* Promote a professional image to customers (internal and external) at all times.
* Deliver effective and responsive training sessions in line with business needs to a range of audiences. Analyse feedback and engage in continuous improvement of training processes.
* Create and develop key performance indicators and review all elements of the Training life cycle. During training sessions, identify any variances in participant skill level and modify training accordingly.
* Create high impact, innovative training designs based on detailed analysis of business needs, delivering tailored training programmes across the business at a variety of levels, including management.
* Monitor and review the progress of trainees, ensuring that statutory training requirements are met.
* Evaluate training and development programmes in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment, helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems.

Responsibilities will include:
* Development of an integrated annual communication and training plan which will be reviewed regularly to reflect new priorities
* Delivering risk management training and communication within the Customer and Operational Risk function
* Ensuring that general training and communications provided to the business are appropriate including supporting development of materials where required
* Oversight of the Risk change agenda and act as an SME on those projects to help shape communications and training requirements
* You will play an active role in shaping and delivering communications and training working closely with the Marketing and Comms and HR team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Proven experience of delivery in a Risk Management role
* An excellent understanding of modern governance, risk and control frameworks, including the 3 lines of defence.
* Experience of delivering risk communications and training material
* Ability to build trustworthy relationships and influence at all levels within the organisation
* Excellent attention to detail
* Capable of multitasking and flexible when priorities shift.
* Continuous improvement mind-set, challenges the status quo and seeks self-improvement.
* Manages conflict in a robust and effective manner and ability to adapt to other people's styles
* Ability to work under pressure - for example, in an incident situation
