The Role:
Reporting to the Future Skills Development Manager and working with HR and Senior Managers, the purpose of this role is to design, implement and communicate skills development processes and activities that support professional and technical development of Colleagues.
Working in partnership with HR Directors and Functional Managers to understand business needs, identify current and future skills requirements and to develop programmes, processes and frameworks that deliver those skills.
Lead interface to Commercial functions, supporting day to day activities, providing professional advice, guidance and consultancy regarding skills development for Colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design & implementation of technical/professional development to support current and future skills needs for relevant area of responsibility
-- Work closely with Senior Managers and HR business partners to clarify and advise on current and future skills/development needs.
- Analyse data, best practice trends and business priorities to define and summarise needs.
- Design and deliver skills training and development for all Colleagues; where necessary identify and manage suppliers to deliver development in line with functional needs.
- Working with the business areas identify and implement innovative learning and development solutions using digitised and new technologies to support on/off/near the job learning
- Leads the implementation of relevant Professional Development Frameworks aligned to business areas and drives the use of skills matrices and design of functional career pathways
- Leads improvements on own/department processes with input from key stakeholders to ensure learning and development interventions deliver the intended value/measures and agreed KPI's
- Leads the design, implementation and embedding of new systems and processes for identifying and developing skills in functions
- Leads communication of technical & professional development opportunities and processes.

Represents at National/Local/Group level in relation to the skills agenda
- Partners with Porsche and Volkswagen Academy to benchmark, share best practise and implement opportunities for synergies through skills development
- Works closely with, and influences, relevant external partners in relation to the skills agenda

Identification of Funding & Budget Management
- Manage delivery of identified skills needs within agreed functional budgets.
- Operational identification and utilisation of Apprenticeship Levy to meet professional development and skills needs

Responsible for the implementation and management of E-learning development/Language development
- Work with functions/Senior Skills Development Officers to identify relevant e-learning requirements and identify functional subject matter experts to support content development
- Develop a landscape of e-learning delivery against agreed timelines with robust roll out plans
- Author eLearning content, using a content management system/authoring tool. Complete quality assurance and testing and manage content publication (course upload process)
- Source external suppliers, where appropriate, within agreed budgets
- Develop and roll out internal e-learning content where appropriate
- Project manage delivery of e-learning with external suppliers
- Responsible for identifying and executing reporting on e-learning where required
- Responsible for identifying, sourcing and managing language development via e-learning/face to face methods aligned to Talent criteria processes and skills development needs.
- Develop mandatory E-learning in support of the business wide Compliance training; to required quality and timing plans

Responsible for the management of Language Development
 Works with Service Contractors to ensure delivery of required language skills on a group and 1:1 basis
 Source external suppliers to deliver required language delivery for management programmes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience in Learning & Development including design and delivery
- Expertise of developing digitised learning interventions
- A proven track record of influencing and challenging at a Senior Level across the business.
- Responsible for managing and sourcing external providers through tender/bid processes
- Responsible for expert input at National or local level to advise on the skills agenda.
- Strong communication and relationship building and networking skills

- Practical and theoretical knowledge of developing relevant training interventions
- In-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship Levy and frameworks/standards
- Successfactors/SAP HR knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of digital learning platforms/technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (incl. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Knowledge of best practice in HR techniques, systems and processes
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
